According to PANews, the nomination process for Brian Quintenz as the new chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) may face further delays. U.S. President Donald Trump had put forward Quintenz's name for the position, but it has been removed from the agenda of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry.

Quintenz, who previously served as a CFTC commissioner, is currently the head of policy for the crypto division at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). His name was also unexpectedly withdrawn from the voting list during another meeting of the same committee last week. Although no official reason has been provided for the removal, there is widespread speculation that his nomination might be encountering issues.
