According to BlockBeats, the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice have launched a nationwide operation to combat North Korean schemes defrauding American companies through remote IT work. This initiative has led to the arrest of a U.S. citizen accused of providing 'laptop farms' to North Korean operatives.
The operation resulted in the seizure of 29 bank accounts, the shutdown of 21 fraudulent websites, and the confiscation of over 200 devices. Additionally, more than $900,000 in stolen cryptocurrency was recovered, and over 100 U.S. companies were reportedly infiltrated by these fraudulent activities.
