According to Foresight News, Vitalik Buterin has expressed concerns about privacy in a new blog post, stating that privacy can no longer be ignored. He noted that artificial intelligence has significantly enhanced the ability to collect and analyze centralized data, as well as expanded the range of data we voluntarily share.
Buterin emphasized that technologies such as zero-knowledge proofs (ZK), fully homomorphic encryption (FHE), and obfuscation techniques have surpassed the imaginations of the 1990s cypherpunks. He warned that the most pressing risk is that privacy could reach a historic low, creating an imbalance where the most powerful individuals and nations can access everyone's data, while others remain largely uninformed.
