According to Foresight News, hardware startup Humane has reached a definitive agreement with HP Inc. to acquire Humane's key artificial intelligence assets. This includes the AI-driven platform CosmOS, a team of highly skilled technical personnel, and intellectual property comprising over 300 patents and patent applications. The transaction, valued at $116 million, is expected to be finalized by the end of this month.
Humane, founded by former Apple employees Bethany Bongiorno and Imran Chaudhri, has raised over $230 million to develop AI Pin, a smartphone alternative. Following this acquisition, the AI Pin will be discontinued on February 28.
