According to PANews, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are considering ways to strengthen their collaboration on cryptocurrency regulation as digital assets become a regulatory focus. One proposal under discussion is the reactivation of the CFTC-SEC Joint Advisory Committee, established in 2010 to coordinate regulatory efforts for emerging markets. This committee has been inactive since 2014. Last year, CFTC Acting Chair Caroline Pham advocated for the reform of this committee, suggesting that it would signal a new era of regulatory cooperation in the U.S. cryptocurrency market.
