According to PANews, Martin Köppelmann, co-founder and CEO of Gnosis, recently highlighted a fundamental issue Ethereum has faced in recent years: a divergence in development direction. On one side is the belief that 'ETH is money,' where transaction capacity and fees are deemed irrelevant, with the focus on 'monetary premium.' On the other side, Ethereum is viewed as a 'world computer/settlement layer,' emphasizing transaction capacity, including Layer 1 scaling, and total fees as measures of success.

Köppelmann suggests that if Ethereum can seize this opportunity to prioritize transaction capability and the needs of application developers, it would mark a significant victory for the platform.
