An anti-phishing code is a security feature that lets you add an extra layer of security to your Binance account. Once you've enabled the anti-phishing code, it will be included in all genuine emails from Binance. This code will allow you to discern real emails from phishing emails, helping you prevent phishing attempts.
The Anti-Phishing Code is a unique set of letters and numbers that will appear in every legitimate email you receive from Binance. If the email displays an incorrect or missing code, it may be a phishing attempt and should be reported immediately (please refer to: How to Report Scams on Binance Support?).
Below is what a Binance email looks like with and without the Anti-Phishing Code:
1. Log in to your Binance account, hover over the [Profile] icon, and click [Account] from the drop-down menu.
2. Go to [Security] and scroll down to the [Advanced Security] section and click [Enable] next to [Anti-Phishing Code].
3. Click [Create Anti-Phishing Code] to get started.
4. Enter an anti-phishing code that you desire and click [Submit].
The code must be between 6 to 8 characters and include at least three of the following character types: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, and underscores. We recommend choosing a code that is not easily guessed but is easily recognized by you.
5. Complete the security verification with your registered two-factor authentication (2FA) devices.
Once you've entered your 2FA code, you’ll have created your anti-phishing code. Now all emails that are legitimate from Binance will contain the code that you've set.
1. Click [Change] next to [Anti-Phishing Code].
2. Click [Change Anti-Phishing Code].
3. Enter a new anti-phishing code and click [Confirm].
