What Is an Anti-Phishing Code and How to Set It up on Binance?

Video Tutorial

The Anti-Phishing code is a security feature that lets you add an extra layer of security to your Binance account. Once you've enabled the anti-phishing code, it will be included in all genuine emails and SMS from Binance. This code will allow you to discern genuine communication sent by us and keep you protected against phishing or smishing attempts.

The Anti-Phishing Code is a unique set of letters and numbers you set, that will appear in every legitimate email/SMS you receive from Binance. If the displayed code that you set previously is  incorrect or missing, it may be a phishing attempt and should be reported immediately (please refer to: How to Report Scams on Binance Support?).

Below is what an Email or SMS from Binance would look like with and without the Anti-Phishing Code:

Once you're verified via your 2FA code or a passkey, you’ll have created your anti-phishing code. Now all emails/sms that are legitimate from Binance will contain the code that you've set.

How to update your anti-phishing code?

Like passwords, it’s a good practice to update your Anti-Phishing Code regularly. If you suspect that your anti-phishing code has gotten leaked, make sure to update it as soon as possible.

Via app

1. On your Binance app, go to menu - [Profile] - [Account Info] - [Security]. Tap [Anti-Phishing Code].

2. Tap [Change Anti-Phishing Code] to start the process of changing your existing code. Once ready, tap [Submit].
