According to reports from PANews, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has noticed an increase in phishing SMS scams impersonating licensed corporations. Scammers deceive customers into clicking on hyperlinks in the messages, leading to counterfeit websites that capture user information. The SFC has issued guidelines to licensed corporations to prevent unauthorized transactions. If customers discover their account information has been leaked or unauthorized transactions have occurred, they should immediately contact the licensed corporation and report to the police.
