According to Cointelegraph, the Bitcoin community is urging Tesla CEO Elon Musk to gain the upper hand in his public feud with U.S. President Trump by investing in Bitcoin. Crypto trader Will Clemente and JAN3 founder Samson Mow stated in a post on X on June 6 that Musk should go all in on Bitcoin.
Mow urged Tesla to accept Bitcoin payments and adopt a Bitcoin financial strategy. Tesla halted Bitcoin payments in 2021 due to environmental concerns but still holds digital assets. Tesla's digital assets decreased in value by 11.61% in Q1.
Mow also suggested that SpaceX offer launch discounts for customers using Bitcoin payments. He stated that the U.S. must start purchasing Bitcoin this year to avoid being outpaced by other countries. Mow also warned Musk to take action before freezing fiat assets.
Lomob co-founder Boyd Cohen stated that if Musk supports Bitcoin, he will spare no effort in building or purchasing the largest Bitcoin treasury and promoting Bitcoin on the global stage. The feud began after Musk criticized Trump's tax policies following his resignation as a Trump advisor. Trump then stated that terminating Musk's government subsidies and contracts would save the U.S. billions of dollars.
