According to Odaily Planet Daily, Polish conservative historian Karol Nawrocki defeated liberal challenger Rafał Trzaskowski with 50.89% of the votes in the runoff election, becoming president. The National Election Commission confirmed his victory.
Nawrocki supports American conservatives, inspired by Trump, and hopes to make Poland a 'hub of innovation' for cryptocurrencies. This position has sparked discussions in the global financial community, speculating whether Poland will explore establishing a state-backed Bitcoin treasury.
Although Nawrocki claims to not hold cryptocurrencies, his policies support deregulation and promote industry growth. In February of this year, the Polish central bank ruled out the possibility of including Bitcoin in national reserves.
