According to Cointelegraph, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed its decision on Bitwise's Ether ETF and Grayscale's XRP ETF applications. The SEC stated on May 20 that it needs an additional 45 days to consider relevant issues. The SEC also delayed decisions on Grayscale's XRP and Bitwise's Solana ETF, seeking public input and conducting further analysis. Analyst James Seyffart expects the SEC to delay decisions on other cryptocurrency ETFs, including Litecoin. The SEC is expected to make decisions on other applications in June and July. The SEC received a large number of cryptocurrency ETF applications after Trump's election, and after the resignation of former chairman Gary Gensler, the SEC is seen as more favorable towards cryptocurrencies.
