According to Cointelegraph, the Texas House committee passed a Republican-backed bill aimed at creating a Bitcoin reserve. The bill has passed the Senate and now needs a full chamber vote before being sent to the governor.
Senator Charles Schwertner first introduced the bill in January, initially limited to Bitcoin, and was reintroduced in February to possibly include other digital assets. If the full chamber votes successfully, the bill will be sent to Governor Greg Abbott.
On the same day, Arizona and New Hampshire also signed relevant bills, while Florida canceled two Bitcoin reserve bills.
