According to reports, after losing the antitrust case against Epic Games, Apple updated the iOS App Store review guidelines to relax restrictions on applications in the U.S. that guide users to use third-party payment methods and browse NFTs held by others. The court ruled that Apple 'intentionally' violated a 2021 injunction that prohibited it from charging a 27% fee on external payments and restricted redirecting behaviors. The new rules do not apply to in-app features such as premium content or in-game purchases, but developers believe this will provide more experimental space for crypto-native mobile applications. Apple still prohibits apps from issuing tokens through task completion, launching ICOs, or using devices for mining.
