According to Foresight News, PredictIt, initially focused on political forecasting, has announced that its operator, Aristotle, has received a license from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to operate an exchange and clearinghouse. This license is a crucial component for the prediction market exchange to handle transactions. The company's application had been pending since the end of 2021, and PredictIt plans to launch the new exchange in October.

In recent months, the CFTC has approved several new prediction market exchanges, expanding the number of regulated companies. This approval allows customers to place bets on various outcomes, including interest rate changes, sports tournaments, and political results.
