Total locked amount in DeFi increased by 41% to 160 billion USD in the third quarter of 2025

According to ChainCatcher, the total locked amount in DeFi increased by 41% in the third quarter of this year, surpassing 160 billion USD for the first time. Ethereum's TVL rose from 54 billion to 96.5 billion USD, while Solana increased from 10 billion to 13 billion USD. On the protocol level, the DeFi lending protocol platform Aave reached approximately 41 billion USD, a growth of 58% since July; the Liquid staking platform Lido approached 39 billion USD, a growth of 77%; and the re-staking protocol platform EigenLayer exceeded 20 billion USD, a growth of 66%.
