According to a report by Deep Tide TechFlow, Tether announced that it will open-source its Bitcoin Mining Operating System (MOS) to create a fairer mining environment and narrow the gap between listed companies and smaller participants. The system adopts a peer-to-peer IoT architecture, featuring high scalability and modular characteristics, supporting deployment from a single Raspberry PI to large mining farms monitoring hundreds of thousands of mining machines.
MOS has built-in various plugins that can monitor and interact with various mining machines, container devices, and electrical equipment. In the future, it will also integrate AI tools to optimize mining performance. Developers can create custom plugins for specific devices and contribute code. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that the project will be open-sourced by the fourth quarter of 2025, and the team is currently preparing documentation and guidelines for the public release.
