According to ChainCatcher, in response to the user losses caused by the Cetus incident, Sui officials announced an additional investment of 10 million dollars for ecological security-related construction. The vulnerability originated from the mathematical library used by Cetus and has no direct relation to the Sui protocol and the Move language.

The new funds will be used for audits, bug bounty programs, formal verification, and other measures, with specific implementation to be jointly agreed upon with the developer community. The Sui team emphasizes that the security of smart contracts is paramount and calls on ecosystem builders to strengthen the security of key code, collectively promoting the network towards maturity and stability.
