According to Deep Tide TechFlow, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has appointed Bilal Ben Saqib as Special Assistant on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Affairs, with ministerial status but no salary. This move promotes the development of digital assets.

Pakistan has allocated 2000 megawatts of electricity for Bitcoin mining and AI centers and supports the establishment of the Pakistan Digital Assets Authority (PDAA). Saqib will draft cryptocurrency regulations compliant with FATF standards and initiate a state-supported Bitcoin mining project.

He will also promote the application of blockchain technology in government affairs, land records, and finance, further facilitating Pakistan's digital transformation.
