The survey shows that the majority of economists expect the Reserve Bank of Australia to cut interest rates in May

According to a report by Jinshi Data, a Reuters survey shows that among 43 economists, 42 expect the Reserve Bank of Australia to lower the cash rate to 3.85% on May 20, with only one predicting a 50 basis point cut.

The survey also showed that economists predict the median cash rate for the Reserve Bank of Australia will drop to 3.35% by the end of 2025.
