According to a report by Deep Tide TechFlow, on May 12th, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba stated in a meeting of the Japanese House of Representatives Budget Committee that the Japanese government will take "comprehensive measures" to respond to the U.S. tariff policy. If necessary, additional measures will be taken without hesitation. Furthermore, Ishiba emphasized that it is "unacceptable" to reach an agreement with the U.S. on aspects other than automobiles in the Japan-U.S. tariff negotiations.
