According to ChainCatcher, the legal team of the founder of the cryptocurrency mixing service Samourai Wallet has written to the Manhattan federal court, accusing the prosecution of concealing important evidence. The U.S. Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network had previously stated that Samourai Wallet did not need to apply for an MSB license, but the prosecution still charged the founder for operating without a license, concealing this information for a year and a half.

The two defendants, Rodriguez and Hill, are accused of assisting in over $2 billion in illegal transactions. The legal team requests a hearing from the court regarding the prosecution's delay in disclosing evidence and plans to reapply for dismissal of the charges.
