According to reports from Wu, Scroll co-founder Ye Zhang tweeted that Scroll has become the first zk-Rollup to reach Stage 1 status. This upgrade achieved key improvements through the Euclid update: arbitrary upgrades are prohibited, allowing users enough time to exit before system changes; it eliminates censorship risks, enabling users to submit transactions directly on Layer 1, which are enforced; and it ensures network activity, as the network will automatically open to everyone if the sequencer or prover goes down, keeping the system running. The maturity framework of L2 Rollup divides Rollups into three stages: Stage 0, Stage 1, and Stage 2, each corresponding to different governance and exit mechanisms.
