Crypto altseason hype is ramping up as indicators flash their strongest signal of 2025.
Both the Blockchain Center and CoinGlass altcoin season index show a score of 76 out of 100, while CoinMarketCap’s reading is at 67. All three are at their highest levels since December 2024.
According to Blockchain Center, altseason begins when 75% of the top 50 crypto assets outperform Bitcoin over 90 days.
Traders Eye Market Cap Breakout
The total altcoin market capitalization (ex-BTC, ex-stablecoins) has reached $1.63 trillion, close to its 2025 peak and just below the $1.64T November 2024 level. Its all-time high remains $1.7T from November 2021.
“Once the altcoin market as a whole enters price discovery, it should kick off wider excitement and new participation,” said trader Daan Crypto Trades.
Crypto educator Karan Singh Arora added:
“With the altseason index at its strongest reading in nine months, traders are beginning to lean risk-on again.”
