According to Odaily, Capital Economics analyst John Higgins has highlighted ongoing volatility and uncertainty in the stock and commodity markets, even after the U.S. International Trade Court ruled most of President Donald Trump's tariffs invalid. Higgins noted that the stock market's muted reaction to the court's decision indicates that the risks associated with Trump's tariff policies have already been factored into market pricing. He further stated that as long as traders continue to question the validity of these tariff policies, the likelihood of significant interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve remains minimal. Additionally, existing agreements between the U.S. and other trade partners also face uncertainty.
