BlackRock transfers 2,156 Bitcoin worth $186 million to Coinbase Prime

BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, transferred approximately 2,156 Bitcoin, valued at around $186.25 million, according to chain data from platforms like Onchain Lens and Arkham ARKM - Intelligence.

This transaction was directed to Coinbase Prime, a custody service tailored for institutional clients. This transfer is linked to the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), BlackRock's main spot Bitcoin ETF, which has been of interest since its launch, and this transfer may indicate adjustments in custody or preparations for deposits.

This is not the only large transaction from BlackRock, as another report showed a transfer of 4,471 Bitcoin, worth about $400 million, to Coinbase Prime, amid record outflows from the IBIT ETF that exceeded $2 billion in November 2025.

These movements are part of institutional liquidity and custody operations and do not necessarily reflect buying or selling trends in the market.
