Perspectives for stablecoins 2026
If 2025 has been a top year for stablecoins, 2026 will almost certainly be the year they integrate into the day-to-day of traditional finance. USDT and USDC are leading by far, and this has allowed them to infiltrate payment gateways, corporate treasuries, and international settlement processes.
Still, this growth will entail significant saturation of stablecoins. Projects without a track record and blockchains created solely to host stablecoins will compete for a very limited space. Many initiatives will likely disappear or be absorbed, and those with proven track records will win.
