A recent cover of the prestigious magazine The Economist talks about the catastrophe that they believe is coming alongside the global debt emergency. It illustrates this with a man with his back to an imminent flood, wearing a poorly positioned life jacket (instead of wearing it like a vest, he covers his head).
It is undeniable that a debt crisis is sweeping across the planet... And it does so horizontally, affecting all social layers.
Even the strongest economies (private or public) will be affected if there is a sharp decline in asset prices.
Fiat currencies have been inflated with the liquidity injection that started during the pandemic (in some cases during the subprime crisis). The dollar, being the global exchange currency, is a potential bubble.
Market behavior shows increases in stocks, gold, and fixed income. All at the same time. This is a rare indicator.
Crypto assets have not managed to rebound after the fateful 10/10... The main representatives (BTC, ETH, and SOL) are falling, leaving promising projects in downward trends.
Regional instability due to trade and/or military tensions exacerbates an already gray outlook.
I know it is not good to be the messenger of negative forecasts. But covering one's eyes, ears, and mouth; turning one's back to problems (like the character on the cover) is worse.
