A full position is like a car without brakes. A wrong direction, and it instantly goes to zero.
The key to a blow-up is often not the leverage ratio, but the weight of the position.
For example:
With an 800U account, if you open a full position of 750U at 5x leverage, a reverse fluctuation of 6% will directly blow up the account;
But if you only use 75U at 5x leverage, it would take an 86.7% fluctuation to lose everything.
Risk resistance capability differs by nearly 12 times.
She risked 96.7% of her principal, and under 5x leverage, a small retracement was simply unsustainable.
This year, I’ve stepped into many pitfalls and summarized three "survival rules."
Not only did I protect the principal, but the account also steadily grew by nearly 80%:
Single trade no more than 7%
In a 6000U account, the maximum single trade can open 420U.
Even if a 7% stop-loss is triggered, the loss would only be 29.4U, not hurting the foundation.
Single loss not exceeding total capital 1.1%
For example, if opening 420U at 5x leverage, set a 1% stop-loss line in advance,
the actual loss would be 8.4U ≈ total capital 1.1%, decisively stopping loss without deep entrapment.
In unclear market conditions, firmly stay out of positions.
Don’t add positions out of impatience, just wait for the trend to clarify—
For example, only enter when the daily line breaks a key level with supporting volume.
