Until I was called for a conversation, I really panicked…
Many people use U, and actually, they are not afraid of freezing, but they are afraid of going blank during questioning and not knowing how to answer.
Remember the following 3 bottom lines and responses; having these in mind will help you pass smoothly.
1. Question: “Didn’t you know that virtual currency trading is illegal?”
Don’t panic, and don’t stand firm. You can respond like this:
“I understand that this type of trading is not protected by law, and I bear the risks myself. But that does not mean I have done anything illegal.”
2. Question: “There’s a problem with the money in the account; why should you refund it?”
This is the most critical step. Even if you are completely unclear about the source, as long as the other party requests it, you usually still need to cooperate to resolve the issue.
In terms of amounts, you can try to communicate, and maintain a good attitude; this is to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and restore normalcy to life.
3. Question: “Will not cooperating leave a record? Will it affect other bank cards?”
The key lies in the degree of account association:
If identified as a highly associated account, other bank cards may be affected.
If it’s just a generally associated account, usually only the involved card is frozen. As long as you actively cooperate and explain the situation, it generally will not leave a personal record, nor will it affect your other normal uses.
To summarize a harsh truth:
Using U does not directly equal wrongdoing, but you need to be more clear-headed than others.
Do not casually accept money from strangers, do not touch unclear sources of U, and do not easily help others transfer back and forth.
In this industry, maintaining the bottom line and entering and exiting safely is more important than anything else.
