The Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation have agreed on the necessity of legalizing settlements in cryptocurrency in foreign economic activity, said Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.
"Payment for imports, payment and withdrawal of currency from the country is carried out using the cryptocurrency market and crypto settlements. Therefore, we have agreed with the Central Bank on the need to regulate the legalization of this market with enhanced control functions from the Central Bank," said Siluanov following the strategic session "Increasing the Efficiency of the Economy and Ensuring Equal Conditions for Doing Business."
He noted that the cryptocurrency sector should receive legislative regulation, and together with Rosfinmonitoring, it will be possible to establish "order in this sector."
