EU plans to phase out new Russian gas import contracts from January 2026, existing short term contracts from June 2026 and long term contracts in January 2028. This plan is part of a persistent calls by United States President Donald Trump to Stop funding #RussiaUkraineWar But it's not going to make much difference, these purchases make up a relatively small portion of Russia’s overall fossil fuel exports, because most of their exports goes to China, India and Turkiye. But who is going to benefit here - It's US oil companies. That's what $TRUMP wants.
