OP Kailua offers two configurable modes for chains using the OP Stack:
Hybrid mode:
In this mode, the network operates normally and quickly, but if a problem or potential fraud arises, an advanced technique called zero-knowledge proof is used. Instead of entering a long and complex process to resolve the dispute, it is resolved immediately and rapidly using a single proof generated by the Boundless network. This provides faster resolution and lower operating costs than full ZK Rollups.
2. Validity status:
In this situation, validity proofs using zero-knowledge are employed, allowing the roll-up to upgrade to a full ZK Rollup instantly, eliminating disputes and providing the highest level of security with finality of about one hour.
