What is $HOLO ?
HOLO is the native token of Holo, a decentralized hosting platform designed to bridge traditional internet users with distributed peer-to-peer applications built on Holochain. Unlike conventional blockchains, Holochain does not require global consensus; instead, each user maintains their own chain, enabling higher scalability and lower energy use. HOT tokens, issued as an ERC-20 asset on Ethereum, serve as placeholders for future HoloFuel, which will power transactions and compensate hosts providing storage and computing resources. By rewarding participants who share bandwidth and processing power, HOLO aims to create a distributed cloud service that is efficient, user-owned, and environmentally sustainable.
