According to Lookonchain data, a cryptocurrency whale sold a CryptoPunk NFT for 4000 ETH (approximately 6 million USD). The investor purchased the NFT a year ago for 4500 ETH (approximately 15.7 million USD). Since the price of ETH was 3509 USD at the time of purchase, and has fallen by 57% since the sale, the actual loss amounts to 9.73 million USD.

According to CryptoSlam data, despite experiencing significant losses, this transaction is still one of the largest NFT transactions in the past 30 days. Currently, the floor price of CryptoPunks is about 43 ETH (approximately 68,000 USD), down over 61% from its historical high of 113.9 ETH in October 2021. This transaction reflects the ongoing slump in the once-booming blue-chip NFT market, with NFT transaction volume on Ethereum declining by over 53% in the past month.
