2025 will be a successful year for the crypto-ETF niche worldwide, analysts at Laser Digital believe.
In the January report, Laser Focus experts pointed out 12 applications from cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund issuers that are already awaiting consideration by the SEC. Among the expected newcomers are ProShares ETF, as well as derivatives based on Litecoin, Hedera, XRP, and Solana.
According to specialists, the change in SEC leadership will be a key factor for success in the American market:
“With the departure of Chairman Gary Gensler and the arrival of Paul Atkins (a staunch supporter of digital assets) in his place, lawsuits are likely to decrease, making the mentioned ETFs viable later this year.”
In 2025, the niche of cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds will continue to grow alongside the interest of institutional investors. Cryptocurrency-friendly officials appointed by Donald Trump will become an important catalyst for this process.
[…] Almost every type of institutional investor is now represented as holders of crypto-ETFs, including investment consultants, endowments, pension funds, hedge funds, and family offices,” they noted.
Positive dynamics were also predicted for the EU with new regulations for the crypto industry dictated by the MiCA bill.
Experts noted that many countries are working on new potentially favorable rules for
digital assets, including the UK, UAE, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Let us recall that January 11 marked exactly one year since the start of trading of spot bitcoin ETFs in the USA.
