According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on the 29th local time, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled that most of the global tariff measures implemented by Trump were illegal, as they exceeded the authority granted by the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

The court stated that these tariff measures could remain in effect until October 14, so the government could appeal to the Supreme Court. This ruling does not affect the steel and aluminum tariffs imposed by the Trump administration under other provisions.

Trump criticized the ruling as 'wrong' on social media, emphasizing that the current tariffs are still in effect.
