According to PANews, Alibaba Cloud is set to expand its global infrastructure by establishing new data centers in Malaysia and the Philippines. This expansion will increase its reach to 29 regions and 90 availability zones worldwide. The third availability zone in Malaysia became operational on July 1, while the second zone in the Philippines is scheduled to launch in October 2025. This move aims to meet the growing demand for cloud computing and AI services overseas.

In addition to expanding its data centers, Alibaba Cloud plans to establish its first AI Global Capability Center. The initiative will involve collaboration with over 1,000 enterprises to develop more than ten industry-specific AI demonstration projects. Furthermore, Alibaba Cloud will partner with over 120 universities globally to train 100,000 AI professionals annually, reinforcing its commitment to advancing AI technology and education.
