क्रिप्टो दुनिया में governance केवल “vote डालना” भर नहीं है, बल्कि यह असली power share करने का माध्यम है। OpenLedger Datanet की हाल की community poll और उसके बाद की governance debates इस बात का उदाहरण हैं कि decentralized communities केवल spectators नहीं बल्कि active stakeholders होती हैं। यहाँ सिर्फ़ numbers और charts की बात नहीं होती, बल्कि humor, कटाक्ष और genuine concern भी मिश्रित होता है।

@OpenLedger ने एक महत्वपूर्ण सवाल के साथ poll चलाई थी। पूछा गया कि आने वाले protocol upgrade में सबसे बड़ी प्राथमिकता क्या होनी चाहिए। विकल्पों में attribution engine enhancement, builder rewards boost, gas fee discount और DataNet expansion शामिल थे। नतीजा दिलचस्प रहा। Builder rewards को सबसे अधिक 42 प्रतिशत वोट मिले, जिससे साफ़ पता चलता है कि community अब ज्यादा reward share चाहती है। Attribution engine enhancement दूसरे स्थान पर रहा, जिसे 28 प्रतिशत वोट मिले। यह संकेत है कि transparency और accountability भी यूज़र्स की बड़ी प्राथमिकता है। Gas fee discount को 18 प्रतिशत और DataNet expansion को केवल 12 प्रतिशत समर्थन मिला। यह poll दर्शाती है कि community cosmetic upgrades से अधिक impact-driven changes चाहती है।

तीसरी बड़ी बहस treasury allocation पर रही। कुछ लोगों का मानना था कि treasury को सिर्फ reserve की तरह जमाकर रखना community funds को बेकार बैठा देने जैसा है। उनका कहना था कि treasury allocation growth, marketing और community grants में होना चाहिए। दूसरी तरफ एक वर्ग था जो चाहता था कि treasury conservative रहे और reserves को ज्यादा महत्व दिया जाए। चर्चाओं में यह भी सुझाव आया कि treasury का 20 प्रतिशत हिस्सा community grants के लिए allocate होना चाहिए ताकि छोटे teams और independent contributors नए proposals ला सकें।
