At the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025 in Turkey, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced plans to establish Pakistan’s first dedicated Artificial Intelligence (AI) University in Lahore. This initiative marks a significant step toward integrating advanced technologies into the country’s education system.

Highlighting the pivotal role of AI in shaping the future, the Chief Minister emphasized her government’s commitment to equipping students—particularly girls—with the skills needed to thrive in a technology-driven world. “The promotion of AI-based education is transforming the landscape of learning. With the establishment of Pakistan’s first AI university in Lahore, we are preparing our youth for a smarter, technology-driven future,” she stated.

Maryam Nawaz also underscored the importance of global efforts to promote girls’ education. She positioned Punjab’s AI-focused initiatives as part of a broader agenda to modernize education and empower youth through digital literacy and innovation.
