Aster has officially completed its S3 buyback program with a total of 155,720,656 ASTER tokens repurchased. Following the buyback, the project executed both the token burn and the airdrop allocation as previously committed.

As of December 5, 2025 (00:00 UTC), the team confirmed that 77,860,328 ASTER tokens have been permanently removed from circulation. This reduction in supply is intended to strengthen long-term token scarcity and support the ecosystem’s economic design.

An additional 77,860,328 ASTER tokens, representing the remaining half of the buyback amount, have been transferred into a locked allocation designated for future airdrops. These tokens will remain secured until their scheduled release.

RSI hovering near 50 suggests fading momentum, while MACD is showing early signs of a bearish crossover. A break below 1.00 dollars could reopen the path toward the 0.88 dollar support. On the upside, reclaiming the 50 EMA would be the first step toward testing 1.09 and 1.14 dollars.

Today @Aster DEX on-chain destroyed a total of 77.86 million $ASTER tokens, valued at $82.05 million (Figure 1️⃣)

This destruction accounts for approximately 1% of the supply and 3.28% of the circulation.

Aster officially started the buyback on October 24. The buyback funds come from 70%-80% of protocol fees (averaging $2-3 million daily), executed automatically every 2 minutes (initial scale approximately $5,000-$6,000 per execution) (Figure 2️⃣) with total buybacks exceeding $100 million $ASTER to date.
