🧐 Aave may abandon part of its multichain expansion.

Aave DAO is discussing shutting down deployments on zkSync, Metis (a project by Vitalik Buterin's mother), and Soneium. These networks generate almost no revenue and require additional resources.

By the numbers:

• Metis – only $3,000 in annual revenue.

• Soneium ~ $50,000.

• For comparison: Aave on Ethereum generates $142 million in revenue, while on Base – $4.7 million.

The initiative proposes:

• Shutting down low-revenue networks.

• Introducing a minimum revenue threshold of $2 million/year for new deployments.

• Tightening requirements for networks with low TVL.
