$BNB History

#BNB (Binance Coin) was launched in July 2017 by the Binance Exchange, founded by Changpeng Zhao (CZ). Originally created as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, it was used to pay trading fees with discounts on Binance. Later, BNB moved to its own blockchain — Binance Chain, becoming the native coin of the Binance ecosystem. Today, BNB powers Binance Smart Chain (BSC), one of the most popular networks for DeFi, NFTs, and blockchain applications.

#BNB Price History

At launch, BNB’s price was around $0.10 per token. During the 2021 bull run, BNB reached an all-time high of about $690. In 2022, it dropped below $250 due to the market crash but remained one of the strongest coins.

One year ago, in October 2024, BNB was around $570 — and by October 2025, it nearly doubled, showing BNB’s strong long-term growth and investor confidence.
