The unfortunate reality is their suffering. Thousands perish right there, trampled and crushed, some with broken bones. And who benefits from this? Hyenas, vultures, and other wild scavengers. They are not in a hurry; they know that food will come to them already crushed. They can consume everything down to the bones, except for the horns.
Now, consider the zebra. You’ll hardly find even one dead zebra, even though their relatives are marching in the same migration. These are not so foolish. When zebras sense danger, they know how to retreat and turn around. They observe the wildebeest from a distance, as if saying, “Wow, you guys are busy. We’ll take our path with wisdom, not by blindly following the crowd.
