The First Use Case – BounceBit PoS Chain
The @BounceBit Proof of Stake Chain will be the first live demonstration of BTC Restaking in action. It uses a dual-token model:
Native BTC for security and liquidity
BounceBit’s native token for governance and staking
Here’s how it works:
1. BTC is deposited into regulated custody.
2. Users mint bounceBTC (BBTC) on the BounceBit chain.
3. BBTC can be delegated to validators in exchange for stBBTC.
4. stBBTC can be restaked into SSCs (like oracles or sidechains) or used for more DeFi strategies.
While all this happens, the BTC in custody continues to generate risk-free yield from funding rate arbitrage.
