While some digital assets saw decreasing volume and little shifts in open interest, Ethereum stood out with increased trader engagement, rising open interest, and higher futures volume, noting a renewed activity in its derivatives market.
Ethereum Records Strong Uptick in Futures Volume
At the time of this confirmation by a post on X by Glassnode, Ethereum was trading at $3,169.42, up 6.3% over the past day. It posted a 27.46% rise in futures volume, reaching $76.4 billion. This increase came alongside a 6.08% gain in open interest, now totaling $29.1 billion. These movements reflect a stronger presence in Ethereum futures, backed by a stable funding rate of 0.0047%. Liquidations totaled $69.3 million, confirming high activity without signs of excessive leverage.

As Ethereum maintains the lead, Bitcoin remains the highest-priced asset, trading at $118,679.16. Its 24-hour futures volume decreased 11.61% to $77 billion. Open interest sits at $64.2 billion with a funding rate of 1.2%. Liquidations reached $63.9 million. While still dominant, Bitcoin’s futures activity shows minimal directional change or leverage shifts.
XRP, Dogecoin, Solana, and Stablecoins Display Mixed Trends
XRP is priced at $2.94 with a 2.6% gain, but its volume fell sharply by 43.52% to $8.9 billion. Open interest for XRP is at $5.2 billion, and the funding rate stands at 0.0115%. Liquidations came in at $10.7 million. Dogecoin trades at $0.199394 and saw a volume decrease of 18.09% to $3.5 billion. Despite this, it holds $1.6 billion in open interest, making up 7.63% of the total. Its funding rate is 0.0121%, and liquidations reached $5.3 million.
Solana gained 3%, reaching $164.74 in price. Its 24-hour volume fell 4.51% to $8.1 billion. Open interest totals $5.5 billion, with a funding rate of 0.0101% and liquidations at $8.4 million. BNB trades at $693.16, with volume down 35.96% to $475.7 million. Its open interest is $621.8 million. Liquidations hit $503.9 million, the highest among listed assets.
TRON gained 1.1%, trading at $0.301844 with $1.5 billion in volume. Open interest stands at $254.4 million and funding at 0.0012%. Liquidations totaled $168K, the lowest reported. Tether and USDC, both stablecoins, show no open interest or liquidations. Tether’s volume increased 123.36% to $1.2K billion. USDC reported $137.4 billion in volume. Lido Staked ETH has no reported data beyond a price of $3,165.08.
