Ripple partners with Dubai to tokenize real estate on XRP Ledger

Ripple has announced a partnership with Ctrl Alt to support the Dubai Land Department (DLD) in digitizing property ownership using blockchain technology.

According to a July 16 announcement, the project will securely store property title deeds on XRP Ledger (XRPL), with Ripple providing institutional-grade custody infrastructure and Ctrl Alt handling local execution.

This marks the first time a Middle Eastern government entity issues real estate title deeds on a public blockchain. Following the news, XRP surged nearly 4% and is approaching the $3 mark, according to CryptoSlate data.

The initiative is currently in its pilot phase, involving Ripple, Ctrl Alt, and the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), as part of a broader push to expand blockchain adoption in real estate, finance, and public services.

This deal follows Ripple’s growing momentum in the UAE, after being licensed by DFSA and forging partnerships with Zand Bank and Mamo. Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD was also recently approved for use in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
