I think Elon took his job and mandate at DOGE seriously, and was likely met with resistance or dismissal, i.e he was used as a facade for Americans to get excited over change, which, as we’re all seeing given this admin’s lackluster impact on anything promised (even going the opp way wrt spending) was never really going to materialize.
