I think the next part of the natural progression of social onchain protocols is “Proof of Legitimacy” It’s pretty easy for anyone to talk about doing various things or using protocols, even if there is still a skill gap there based on writing ability. I am of the opinion that there is value in knowing someone who talks about something also has skin in the game or “actually does this sht” At the same time I think we all value privacy. So I feel there must be some ZKproof-enabled manner of “proving” wallet ownership and activity across various ecosystems and chains such that the protocol can show who is legitimately walking rather than just talking without exposing addresses. If I was to ever try to build my own project it would likely be in this area. Unclear to me how much the concept is worth though.

Had the privilege of testing out the MVP from @Euphoria_fi a couple days ago and can’t get the idea out of my head. It’s a brand new derivative but extremely intuitive to use. Any analogy I’d try to assign wouldn’t do it justice, so I’m not going to bother at this stage (and I promised I wouldn’t share anything). The biggest interest point for me is that I can see a scenario where it becomes wildly popular outside of crypto in addition to the degens here enjoying it. Like there’s a world where Robinhood or one of the other consumer finance apps would want to acquire it and the underlying tech to bring as a product offering to the masses. I want apps and financial instruments that transcend our small CT bubble. These are the kind of new and unique primitives and projects that really get me excited these days…there aren’t many of them.

Positive flywheels are incredible for asset price on the way up, and extremely damaging when they start to unwind. Ethereum experience two such major waves: 1) extreme demand for ICOs, which began to unwind as project teams sold their warchests 2) DeFi summer, which began to unwind as yields collapsed and vamp L1s sprung up offering higher multiples Solana’s first run up was largely fueled by SBF and co doing all sorts of incredible financial engineering. During its resurrection it felt the benefits of its first true native asset demand flywheel - pumpfun. Now it faces the dangerous reality of that flywheel unwinding…and the market has warned that this was coming for months now. What do you think happens to Solana the asset if every pump coin post-TGE becomes automatically paired with asset/PUMP instead of asset/SOL? Or what do you think happens to demand if pumpchain comes into existence? I am thankful that there really aren’t any of those flywheels currently active on ETH. We may still have a chance.
