According to Foresight News, China's National Internet Information Office has issued a statement regarding significant security issues found in Nvidia's computing chips. Recently, U.S. lawmakers have advocated for advanced chips exported from the U.S. to include tracking and location features. Experts in the American artificial intelligence sector have disclosed that Nvidia's chips have developed mature technologies for tracking, location, and remote shutdown.
To safeguard the cybersecurity and data privacy of Chinese users, the National Internet Information Office, in accordance with the Cybersecurity Law, Data Security Law, and Personal Information Protection Law, conducted a meeting with Nvidia on July 31, 2025. The office requested Nvidia to address the security risks associated with the backdoor vulnerabilities in the H20 computing chips sold in China and to provide relevant documentation.
