According to Axios, recent polls found that a majority of Americans believe President Trump and his family have profited inappropriately from cryptocurrency while he is in office, and that many disapprove of the family's global business activity. A Reuters-Ipsos poll released Wednesday found 63% of Americans said Trump and his family have inappropriately profited from cryptocurrency since his return to Washington, while nearly seven in 10 said his private business interests influence his presidential decisions; nearly half of Republicans, 48%, agreed. A separate Economist-YouGov poll of 1,611 U.S. citizens found 65% disapproved of Trump and his family doing business with foreign countries, while 64% disapproved of Trump's personal investment in the cryptocurrency industry and 61% disapproved of presidents accepting valuable gifts from foreign governments while in office. The Reuters-Ipsos poll surveyed 1,166 U.S. adults online from Aug. 14 to Aug. 17 and had a margin of error of 3 percentage points for all Americans.
